I am an Engineer with 15 years of experience in Production, Quality Control, Vendor Development, Setting up of New Projects and International Trading. Detailed experience with key deliverables and achievements are mentioned as under.
Present Assignment
Manager-Vendor Development with Sahara India Pariwar. (April 2005 – till date)
Sahara India is a multi-core Indian corporate, with varied interest in Para banking, Housing & Infrastructure, Media & Entertainment, Aviation, Hotels, Computers and others. It has an asset base of Rs.50,000 crores. Recently Sahara has entered into Exports of Handicrafts – Hard as well as Soft Goods.
I am handling Hard goods section and am responsible for Vendor Development, Sourcing, Procurement of the products made out of Metal, Wood, Bone & Horn, Stone ware, Ceramic and Glass ware. Quality assurance of products is one of my key result areas. I have widely traveled to all the clusters and have created a good vendor base.

I. General Manager (Operations/Production) with Regency Creations Ltd. (March 1996 – Feb 2005)
Regency Creations Limited, an ISO 9001-2000 certified company with a turnover of Rs. 25 crores per annum. It is engaged in Manufacturing and Exports of Light Engineering products viz. Lighting Fixtures, Sanitary & Plumbing, Crowd Control devices, Railings, etc. and Metal Life-style products in ferrous as well as non-ferrous metals. Value addition to metal products is also done by using wood, glass, ceramic, plastic, etc. I have handled products for renowned US based organizations, namely Croscill, American Greetings, T J Maxx, etc. and for Engineering items -Alvarado, Brass Tech, Conant Brass, Grisworld, etc.
As overall in charge of Production, was responsible for complete operations of all the multi-location production units having Machine shop, Press shop, Welding, Spinning, Fabrication, Finishing (including painting, powder coating, polishing, electroplating, lacquering, specialized coatings), etc. A team of Engineers, Technicians and Skilled workmen assists me to run the operation. I was reporting to the CEO of the Company
Key Deliverables
• Sampling: Sample analysis and development as per buyer’s specifications and the design provided by in-house designers.
• Costing: Product costing and final quotations to the buyers.
• Production: Production Planning and Control to meet delivery targets.
• Quality Control: Setting up quality parameters of every product for on-line as well as pre-dispatch controls.
• Purchase: Complete planning for purchase of raw material, bought-out items.
• Capital goods Purchase: Planning, inviting quotations, finalization & procurement of plant & machinery.
• New Projects: Analysis and report on setting up new projects and their implementation.
• Vendor Development & Management: Many processes are outsourced, therefore regular vendor development is very essential. Control over production & quality at their end.
• Manpower planning & deployment: Assigning the jobs on regular/project basis
• ISO: I was the Management Representative for ISO.
• Marketing: Supporting Marketing team by Participating in the fairs, meeting New Buyers. Direct correspondence with the buyers for follow ups during sampling & production stages, submitting the offers & negotiations.
